    2. Take an underexposed photo
Now I want to lower the exposure by 2 stops to suppress the light in the environment. If the camera detects that f/2.8 is the correct exposure setting, then I will at least adjust the aperture to f/5.6.

Then I took a test photo with this setting. The effect I want is to make the bride very dark and look like a silhouette. I want her to be illuminated by flashing lights instead of the ambient light of the church. The ambient light only needs to illuminate the area behind her.

In the photo on the right, I see a problem: the background (church) is a bit too dark. This is where the shutter speed needs to be controlled, which determines the brightness of the indoor light. You can think of it as a dimmer for church lights. If you want to make the light brighter, all you have to do is to reduce the shutter speed a bit. I adjusted the regular 1/125 second to 1/60 second to see how it works.

    3. Turn on the flash
When there is only one silhouette of a person, I turn on the flash at low power (such as 1/4 power), and then take a test photo. The light in this picture looks good, but the whole picture looks a bit too bright. Because the light is Hpusn Photography Lighting Kit not mixed well enough, the photo does not look pretty enough.

However, you can clearly see the difference in reducing the shutter speed from 1/125 second to 1/60 second-the church behind the bride looks much brighter. In fact, I think this is too bright, the shutter speed changes a bit, I need to compromise.

    4. Take another test photo
This time I adjusted the camera to the vertical direction, and then increased the shutter speed a little bit to 1/80 second. I didn't change the Hpusn Photography Lighting Kit power of the flash-still about 1/4.

This test photo looks almost the same, 1/80 second seems to be the most appropriate effect. What I have to do now is to slightly adjust the power of the flash to ensure that the light is not too bright-this is a common mistake. If we want to make the light blend so that it looks natural, we can't make the photo "flash sense" too strong. To be able to make people wonder "Is it really shooting with flash?"
